"There were five generations of Warrens in Plymouth, Massachusetts before 1800, all named Benjamin.  It is believed that the Benjamin born in 1740, the son of Rebecca (Doty) Warren and Benjamin Warren II, is the compass maker.  Benjamin Warren III was married in 1763 to Jane Sturtevant of Kingston, Massachusetts.  A son, also named Benjamin was born in 1766.  Benjamin III died at Plymouth in 1825."
